Gift of misery

I'll learn your body in silence,
I won't mistake your soul
before the day I go
everything shall be done.

What is real, what is common,
the visible and invisible.
Knowing your heart
will be my primary task.

Further ahead of what lies behind;
treason, hugs, tears, and lies.
All those things you've never said
and every day you used to pretend.

In silence your mind I'll learn,
and cherish your heart my reason I'll make .
Your death cold words I'll discern,
and this old pain we will forsake.
